Former National Beach Girl, Logie award winner and qualified school teacher Jane Reilly has been the face of Adelaide’s Network TEN 5pm News Weather Report since 1996.
In addition to presenting the weather on Network Ten Adelaide’s 5.00pm News Bulletin and 6.30pm Evening News, Jane has also participated in the production and presentation of a variety of feature news stories, with an emphasis on health and family.
Jane's contribution in these areas has won her a host of awards and accolades including the prestigious MBF national media award, two years running, and in 1995, she was named a Family Ambassador for the Office of Families.
There is no doubt that Jane is a favourite with the Adelaide community and corporate audiences alike. As well as having a wealth of experience in media and presenting, Jane also slips easily into the role of MC, having hosted a variety of events ranging from local community and charity events to more formal, corporate functions.
Jane has the unique ability to make her audience feel instantly comfortable in her presence and exudes a wonderful warmth and familiarity when hosting any event. Her work is nothing short of sheer professionalism and you can be certain to rely on Jane to carry your event through even the toughest of glitches!
Jane is currently the Face of the Messenger Local Business Awards and has brought much success to Ray White Real Estate through her work as MC for their Annual Awards Night. In 2006, Jane was made the SA Ambassador of "Variety the Children's Charity" and is also involved in supporting other charity organisations such as the Royal Society for the Blind and St John Ambulance.
Before joining Network Ten in 1994 as the weekend weather presenter, Jane's media career included script writing and production of children's television programs, co- announcing SA FM's breakfast program and presenting news features and weather for the ABC TV.
Jane’s other accomplishments include receiving a Logie for Most Popular Female Personality, winning the National Beach Girl Competition and being awarded Best Weather Presenter on numerous occasions. In 2002, Jane was appointed as the inaugural advocate for Neighbourhood Watch and in April 2003, became a patron of the Eating Disorders Association of South Australia.
