The Fishbowl Boys are quickly becoming the ‘must have’ act for gatherings of all sizes! If it’s a corporate event, wedding, family reunion or anything in between - look no further than the vocal wizardry of The Fishbowl Boys. Their trail of awe-struck audiences has been growing steadily over the past 4 years as they continue to improve their craft and strive to be the number one performance act in Australia!
Formed in 2006, The Fishbowl Boys started singing together in high school in a room known as “the fishbowl” (due to its small size and large window) in an effort to avoid music theory classes. Their coach and creator – a student teacher introduced them to four part vocal harmony and off they went.
In 3 short months the boys had their first performance - a local talent show. They won first place and $250. They were amazed! After this, the group started learning more songs and taking the quartet more seriously. They found there was a huge demand for vocal harmony performances in Adelaide and the rest of Australia so they made the most of it; Over the following years they performed hundreds of shows from nursing homes to sold-out theatres and everything in between. In December of 2007 the Fishbowl Boys performed 23 shows in 25 days. On the 26th day they took their first break from singing in two years.
Throughout 2008 and 2009 The Fishbowl Boys continued to amaze audiences with their renditions of songs by artists such as Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Van Morrison, Queen and Britney Spears. They completed year 12 – each with a music score of 100% and in December of 2009 they found themselves in front of 40,000 people at Carols by Candlelight in Elder Park. Then in 2010 The Boys made their Fringe Festival Debut and managed a sell-out season!
You may ask, “What’s so special about these four guys who sing?” Perhaps it’s their amazing stage presence or their broad appeal. It may be their ability to completely tailor their floorshow to any requirement – if you can imagine it they can do it! Or it could simply be the fact that this style of entertainment finally been brought back to life. Whatever it may be, hopefully you can be front and centre to witness to the vocal talents of Kieran, Matthew, Robin and Cameron.
