Lowrider emerged onto the Adelaide music scene in early 2004 and quickly created a sound of their own.

Their soulful, individual style, which has been described as “Dirty Hip Hop beats with a rugged soul vocal”, comes from influences including Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield through to The Roots, Mos Def and Erykah Badu.

In this short time they have created quite the buzz, stomping their feet and getting heads bopping.

Recording their debut self-titled CD which is selling strongly, hosting sell-out shows throughout South Australia, supporting and collaborating with acts such as The Hilltop Hoods, TZU, True Live, Dallas Crane and the Dido
band are just the beginning for Lowrider.

In their first two visits interstate LOWRIDER played the Roots Festival at the Espy, tore the roof off with TZU
(both bands sharing the stage for an encore) and graced the stage at the sold out PYRAMID ROCKS FESTIVAL.

Radio has picked up on the stand out tracks from their debut CD, “Other Lovely Things” (featuring DJ Debris
from the Hilltop Hoods), “Riverside” and “Inspire Me”, the latter two receiving top 10 and top 5 nominations
respectively in the 2006 MusicOz Awards.

Taking their songs (and fans) to new places every night with solos, extended jams, whatever the moment calls for, their live show is both captivating and unique.

Being that all sounds are played live, the songs on stage are limited only by the imagination and emotion of the band.
