A Little Black Dress is always in Fashion!
Classy, quirky, fun and flirty…like any good little black dress, this band has it all and more.
Beginning life as an all girl accapella trio, Annie Auld, Mel Crawford and Kay Burgemeister perfected their carefully woven vocal harmonies. These form the basis of their “Vox Rock” sound. Using the tried and true patterns of funk, pop, soul and rock they sewed it all together using threads of punk and passion to create a truly unique sound.
After 10 years of performing to critical acclaim the girls decided they needed a revamp and accessorised with instruments including; guitar, bass, woodwind and percussion. The outfit is completed with two funky guys, Tony Craddock and Chris Yeend, on bass and drums.
Little Black Dress is a crowd pleasing phenomenon. Hailing from the world renowned Barossa Valley, the band has graced the stages of 6 Fringe Festivals in both Melbourne and Adelaide, as well as supporting many well respected artists including; Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd, Frenzal Rhomb, Troy Cassar-Daly, The Borderers, Renee Geyer, Flat on your Bacharach and E-Type Jazz.
Their unique development process has given them a versatility which allows them to individually tailor their outfit to any occasion, from the most intimate of events to the grandest of gatherings. This engaging party frock is guaranteed to rock.
