The Crazy Knites family has its latest member to initiate into the band. Famous Australian actress Michala Banas is not only a star of the hit television show Mcleod’s Daughters, she also is a very talented vocalist.  She has rediscovered her passion for singing once more, and is riding the Crazy Knites train back into the live music scene.

Born in Wellington, New Zealand, she moved to Australia at 10 years of age.  Michala has been in the film industry all her life; she shot her first television advertisement at only 18 months old, and established herself professionally, landing a role in Mirror Mirror at 16 years old.  In 2004 she joined the Channel Nine cast of Mcleod’s daughters starring as Kate Manfredi, and has never looked back since.  Her affiliation with Crazy Knites began in October 2006 when she was looking to rekindle her vocal talents. Having awed the people of Henley Beach at the Ramsgate and at the Multicultural Festival held at Thorndon Park Reserve, people can only expect to see Crazy Knites and Michala wow more audiences in the near future..

“From the very beginning, the band’s goal was to produce a REAL sound. That’s why when you come and see us, there are no whiz bang, backing track devices to make us sound like something we’re not. Believe it or not, we
have guitars that sound like guitars, and drums that sound like drums. What you see is what you get!” comments Malak.

Crazy Knites have left their mark on multiple venues in metropolitan, suburban, and regional South Australia. Venues such as, The Elephant, The Ramsgate, The Palais and Nuriootpa’s one and only, The Vine Inn.
