Cornesy’s Rock-n-Roll Allstars is Adelaide’s number one party and good times band. Playing all the hits from the 60s to today – including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis, the Hoodoo Gurus, Smash Mouth and Dandy Warholes - the Allstars always leave their fans shouting for more!
The fun started twelve years ago, when a group of talented staff members at Adelaide’s top-rated talk and sports radio station 5AA decided to get together to play a few tunes at the staff Christmas party.
Today, Cornesy’s Rock-n-Roll Allstars has developed into one of the nation’s most sought-after bands, with great musicianship and harmonies. And, of course, lots of fun!
Famous South Australian football and media identity Graham “Studley” Cornes is the leader of the band (“It’s my band”), and tries his best to control the chaos – with not much success! Along for the ride are lead singer Graham Lane, leading South Australian guitarist and songwriter Ian “Mad Dog” Lehmann, legendary former “Twilights” bass player John Bywaters, keyboard and saxophone genius Tim Donovan, and top-line drummer Bill Schapel. And then there’s “Bruce”. Bruce Presley, Bruce Osbourne, Bruce Marley, and a cast of other Bruces – all played by the band’s larger-than-life master of silliness, David Heath.
Add them all up and you have Cornesy’s Rock-n-Roll Allstars.
Whether it’s in front of 44,000 people at the Wayville Showgrounds, or 30,000 people at the Clipsal 500 V-8 race, or 50 people at a backyard birthday party, the Allstars guarantee everyone will have a good time!
