
Two Stroke Johnny is Adelaide’s freshest, energetic live band specialising in popular rock favourites of today, complimented with a range of classics. Established at the beginning of 2005, Two Stroke Johnny has emerged into an explosive live act with commitment to faithful reproduction of the vast range of artists they cover. Two Stroke Johnny cater to the young and trendy nightspots of Adelaide to private and corporate functions and country shows.
The four piece live band consists of lead vocals, guitar, bass and drums. A former duo performer in his home of Scotland, Phil Sinnett leads the group with an extensive vocal range and brings a high level of charisma to the front of the stage. A student of the Adelaide University Conservatorium of Music, Shannon Simpson adds experienced musicianship to the band having spent time playing drums for Wasabi, Unknown to Man and various jazz and original groups. A former member of original band Electracave, lead guitarist Tim Nixon lends his expertise in accurately reproducing the music to complete Two Stroke Johnny’s explosive sound. Brayden Goodwin completes the band on bass, keys and backing vocals from a background that includes shows with Manikin and a short stint with Guava.

Two Stroke Johnny now regularly play such venues as PJ O’Briens, The Elephant, The Lion, The Ramsgate, The Alma, The Pretoria and The Palais, to name a few, while holding a residency at the Goodwood Park Hotel on Wednesday nights for Ladies Nights. Special events have included the 2006 Clare Valley Races after race concert, the 2006 Adelaide University Orientation Camp and both the 2005 and 2006 university combined colleges balls.
